Customers

Navigate to yStore → Customers in the Control Panel to reach these tools.

The Customers section is the central place for managing everyone who shops at your store. From here you can search and filter the customer list, view individual profiles, manage addresses and wishlists, assign customers to groups, and take account-level actions such as approval, impersonation, or deletion.

These pages are written for store admins and technical admins, with practical guidance on where to click and what each action changes.

Customer list

The main customer list supports:

  • Full-text search by name, email address, or company name.
  • Filters by customer group, account status (approved, pending, banned), and registration date range.
  • Bulk actions: export selected customers to CSV/JSON/XLSX, assign them to a customer group, or apply account status changes across a selection.

Individual customer profile

Opening a customer record gives you a tabbed view covering all relevant data:

Customer groups

Customer groups let you segment your audience for targeted pricing and promotions. Groups are managed in yStore → Settings → Customers and can be assigned to individual customers from the General tab of their profile, or in bulk from the customer list.

tip

Customer groups can be used to offer different prices to wholesale vs retail customers. See Products → Tier Pricing for how to set group-specific prices on individual products or variants.

Account approval workflow

If account approval is enabled in yStore → Settings → Customers, new registrations are held in a Pending state until an admin approves them. You can:

  • Review pending accounts from the customer list using the Status: Pending filter.
  • Approve or reject individual accounts from the Account Actions tab on the customer profile.
  • Send a welcome email automatically on approval (configurable in Settings → Store → Email).

Feature visibility

Feature tabs on the customer screen (Address Book, Wishlists, account approval actions) are only shown when the corresponding feature is enabled in yStore → Settings → Plugin → Features and yStore → Settings → Customers.
